I’ve always wondered what Harry and Ginny’s relationship was like when they were married. Due to Harry’s past, I have a feeling he might be slightly emotionally abusive towards her. That would explain why she had no say in her kids names. They may have been happy, but I don’t know if he ever treated her like an equal. And based on the way they grew up, I don’t think either would have noticed.
Somehow I doubt Ginny would have put up with his shit. I wouldn’t say he would be emotionally abusive, maybe emotionally distant because when you don’t grow up with affection, it’s hard to be affectionate. But then you have Ginny, whose family seems so warm, she could balance that out and help him with that part.
As for the names, maybe she did have some say-or maybe she agreed that those names would be great for the kids.
